Putter Pong

Move over corn-hole. Beer Pong and golf just had a lovechild named Putter Pong, and it. is. AWESOME.

PLAYER VS PLAYER GAMES

The Putter Pong Game

  1. To determine who goes first, each player will putt once. Repeat until only one of the players makes their shot. That player takes the first turn.
  2. If Player 1 makes their shot, they shoot again. If Player 1 misses, the game changes to Player 2’s turn.
  3. Continue until one of the players has made all 6 holes. The first player to make all six holes is the winner.

Scoring:

  • If a player makes the same hole twice, they can choose two other holes that count as being made.
  • If a player chips the ball over the ramp and makes a hole, the hole made will count as well as another hole of the player’s choosing.
  • The first player that makes all six holes is the winner.
  • The losing player gets a chance at redemption. For redemption, the losing player shoots until their shot is missed.
  • If all of the remaining holes are made, the game continues but with only the bottom three holes. Continue until one of the players does not complete redemption.

The “Sudden Death” Game - for those who can’t endure an entire Putter Pong game

  1. Players line up and putt side-by-side simultaneously.
  2. Repeat step 1 three times and whoever has made the most cups emerges victorious.
  3. If there is a tie after three rounds, repeat until one player misses.

The “THOT Cup” Game - because no one wants to hit a hole that easy…

  1. Players engage in a sudden death match of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” and the loser putts first.
  2. Players alternate turns.
  3. The player who goes the longest without hitting the “THOT Cup” is the winner.

TEAM VS TEAM GAMES

The “6-Cup” Game - 2 person teams

  1. To determine which team goes first, each team chooses a player to putt once. Repeat until only one of the players makes their shot. (Alternate players each round.) The team who wins the putt-off takes their turn first.
  2. Each player on the team takes one shot. If both players make their shot, they take another turn. If only one player or neither player makes a shot, Team 2 goes.

Scoring:

  • If both players make the same hole, they can choose two other holes that count as being made.
  • If a player chips the ball over the ramp and makes a hole, the hole made will count as well as another hole of the player’s choosing.
  • The team that makes all six holes is the winner.
  • The losing team gets a chance at redemption. For redemption, the losing team shoots until both players miss their shot.
  • If all of the remaining holes are made, the game continues, (same here as before) but with only the bottom three holes. Continue until one of the teams does not complete redemption.

The “Keep Cup” Game - 2 person teams

Use the same rules as The “6-Cup” Game, but play with the following variation implemented:

  1. Teams hold the cups they make.
  2. The winner is whoever has the most cups.
  3. If there is a tie, the last cup made wins.

The “21” Game - 1 person or 2 person teams

  • To determine which team goes first, each team chooses a player to putt once. Repeat until only one of the players makes their shot.(Alternate players each round.) The team who wins the putt-off takes their turn first.

Round 1:

  • Team 1 takes 3 shots.
  • Team 2 takes 3 shots.
  • Net the points at the end of the round.

Scoring:

If Team 1 makes 7 points and Team 2 makes 5 points, Team 1 gets 2 points and Team 2 gets 0 points.

Round 2:

Switch players and continue with same scoring methodology.

  • The first team to 21 points wins.
  • If you go over 21 points, your score will drop down to 11 points.
