The Hunger - (Pilot Episode)

The Hunger is a web series that hopes to be a unique take on a story we all know and love – the zombie apocalypse.

The Hunger follows the story of Dr. Mark Downing and his family, as well as Dr. Emma Gracely and a host of other characters as they struggle to survive in a world overrun by the infected undead while trying to find a cure. Dr. Downing finds himself in an uncomfortable position – his rash actions may have contributed to the outbreak that is spreading like wildfire through the populace, and though he may be one of the only ones left who is uniquely qualified to understand the disease process that’s turning people into zombies, will he be able to gain the trust of his traveling companions enough to attempt to undo some of the damage and save what’s left of humanity? Will any of them be able to even make progress in a landscape full of pockets of survivors with their own agendas?

It could truly be said that there are no uncomplicated heroes in this story. Not a single character is without flaws or baggage that only worsens when forced to rely on one another for survival. Any good zombie story comes with plenty of character development and while we don’t want to give away a lot of it here, rest assured that it is one of the main goals of our series.

The Hunger is set to start filming this fall/winter season in Bowling Green, KY and Nashville, TN.
