Help a father grow his business to provide ongoing support to his special needs daughter
Kestel van der Mescht has been involved in broadcasting, video production, music production, tracking camera operation and editing for over 12 years. Kiara is his 20 month old daughter who was born with a rare brain disorder called ACC (Agenesis of the Corpus Collosum).
Kestel says “My career up until about a year ago was based in live television broadcast and in that industry I developed some amazing skills and learned so much. From starting as a camera operator and progressing very quickly to live broadcast director and vision mixer, I decided it was time to use my skills for myself and in that moment, Still-Live Media was born.”
Still-Live Media is an aerial filming and photography business using the latest in drone technology to get stunning aerial footage for numerous industries.
Kestel has started a crowdfunding campaign with a goal of raising £15,000 in order to expand his business. By expanding his business, this allows him to make sure kiara gets everything she needs to get up on her feet and has all the possible tools to help her brain development.
Still-Live Media is not just a drone company, As well as aerial footage, they cover ground footage, photography, 360 degree property showcasing, in house editing, original music and backing track production and they are now even moving into graphic design, logo design and 3D animation.
Kestel says “As our focus for the time being is on thermal imaging, it is useful to note the impact we can have on helping save lives! We intend to team up with local emergency services to help fire fighters accurately locate the source of a fire, allowing them to navigate the safest point of entry keeping them safer than ever before. We also hope to assist where we can in search and rescue operations as thermal imaging can pin point a persons location and allow medical/rescue services to deliver necessary care quicker.”
In the creator’s own words : With your help and selfless contributions, you would be making the world of difference to a little girl who never asked to be different and instead of raising an amount as a one off, it will enable me to create a stronger business, more opportunity, greater market reach and of course more cash flow which in turn will allow me to make sure I can provide all that Kiara needs.
Kiara is everything to me and I need to do everything in my power to make sure she is given every chance to succeed.
The fund raised will be used for the following expenses:
- Zenmuse XT Thermal imaging camera - £12 000
- 4 day thermal imaging course - £1500
- Updating of website to include new service, marketing new service, obtaining their own copyrighted thermal footage to be used in marketing and client demonstration - £1500
