As you may have read above, “My Land” is a Chapman student short film about New Jacob, a helpless outcast living in an isolated shack along the US-Mexico Border must convince a Homeland Security official, Joe, to not tear down his one and only home, which stands in the construction path of Donald Trump’s wall.
“My Land” explores the dichotomy of what home means to two people from very different worlds while using the country’s current political environment as the setting in which these two people interact.
In somewhat divisive times, “My Land” aims to remind us all of what really matters when you ignore the surrounding noise…
After making his first short film at 14 years old, storytelling has been a constant factor in many of Patrick’s creative endeavors. He was responsible for producing and directing his high school news show as well as filming and editing pep rally videos and various sports reels. In addition to his school involvement, he also made films with his close friends, both as school projects and as a hobby. His musical background also extends across various genres including hip-hop, rock, pop, electronic, and singer-songwriter music with a breadth of experience on piano, guitar, and voice. He has released multiple EPs under various monikers and genres. Beyond his personal film and music projects, he is currently attending Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts studying Film Production with emphasis in Sound Design.
