SportsVenting is a social networking app concentrated on fans having the capacity to “VENT” about the teams they love and hate. The founders of SportsVenting have successfully launched the app on the Google Play Store. They are now focused on raising funds to launch on the App Store.
SportsVenting was created by Jeff Phillips who has been a long-suffering Philadelphia sports fan for over 35 years. Jeff has only witnessed 3 championships since he started following the 4 Philly pro teams in 1978. Jeff believes that fans across the country can relate to his pain. For these reasons, Jeff wanted to create a forum where sports fans have the ability to voice their frustrations in the form of “venting”. Jeff has partnered with some life-long friends who share the same passion about sports to create this app.
Once a profile is created (either through manual entry or signing in through Facebook or Twitter), the user will pick teams they love and hate. They will be able to make general vents across the entire sports spectrum, in addition to venting about specific topics spanning the 4 major pro leagues (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL) and Division 1 college football and basketball. Vents can also be shared on Facebook and Twitter.
Users can create groups to vent their disappointments about anything, including players, refs, broadcasters, and fans of other teams. The app allows for “venting” videos, photos, and check-ins from sporting events. SportsVenting has an easy to use share feature that allows users to pass along signup information through a number of platforms (email, text messaging, Facebook and Twitter.)
