About the foundation
We are Niños del Arco Iris, a foundation located in the Valley of Urubamba, Cusco, Peru.
Helena van Engelen (Netherlands) arrived to Cusco, Peru, in the year 2001. There were too many children without any future, so she decided to change that. The first thing she did was adopting seventeen homeless children and provided them with nutrition, health, education, affection and a home.
Nowadays, the programs are:
School: 140 deprived children, from 6 to 13 years old receive education, health care and nutrition in daily basis. A great future for them
CETPRO: 129 deprived youngsters receive technical education that will give them the incomes to support themselves and their families.
Medical Center: health and dental care for underprivileged families. 40 430 medical interventions in 2014.
