Fires can start for a number of reasons. Our home building and interior product line prevents fires from spreading, period. We don’t deal with any products that have a burn rating. These are commercial grade homes, with the price tag similar to, or less than, standard wood construction.
Welcome to Gnu Legacy. There are several reasons to do what we are doing for the construction industry. There are 2 reasons, in particular, that gives Gnu Legacy purpose.
1. In May of 2013, I was caught in a house fire that put me in the burn unit, in St. Paul, MN for almost a month. I was building this home for my family, and in an instant, it was all gone. Luckily no one else was injured. This was the start of my search for a better solution to this industry.
2. In November of 2006, my father-in-law was killed when he fell from the roof of a building that he was working on. For this reason, I wanted to figure out a system that would limit the amount of time spent at those heights.
Along with the compelling reasons for Gnu Legacy to be in existence, we are also firm believers in giving back. From every project that we sell, 1% of the entire price will be donated to the charity, organization, or community of the buyers choice. It doesn’t matter if it is a single family home or a $50M development project, giving back helps everyone.
