PINE A64 is the world’s first 64-bit expandable Quad Core 1.2Ghz supercomputer, tablet, media center, and more… starting at just $15.
The PINE64 is definitely the most affordable 64 bit single board computer on the market today that delivers a bunch of power in such a small package. Similar products like the CHIP or Raspberry Pi Zero are good, but their boards are very plain and not too modular. Despite the price difference of those two boards ($5, $9), by the time you add components to them to sort of match the PINE64, the price goes way above $15. Many of these boards aren’t capable of running 64 Bit Android 5.1.1 and the PINE64 A64 board can perform that flawlessly. With Gigabit internet, 4K media output, the PINE64 can really be used for media streaming box, a cloud file server, IoT controller, and even be integrated into many robotics or electronic projects. The base board is $15 and comes with 1.2 Ghz ARM powered CPU as well as 512MB of DDR3 memory. The HDMI, ethernet port, audio out, and I/O expansions slots are all basic and is included in all the board models. The $19 and $29 models have a 1GB and 2GB memory respectively.
PINE64 also is developing a bunch of accessories and add ons, making this board your ultimate development device for your projects. With a power draw of only approximate 2.5 watts, the PINE64 can really save up to 100x in power costs, allowing countries with less resources to be able to afford to run electronics.
