Raising funds for the International Premiere of Myles Breen’s Language UnBecoming A Lady in New York.
Hi folks. It’s Myles Breen. If you’re a friend of ours thanks for coming, if you’re a stranger step on in gorgeous!
As you might know our show LANGUAGE UNBECOMING A LADY has been invited to the prestigious Origin’s 1st Irish Theatre Festival in Manhattan this September. As Limerick’s first and only production at the festival in its seven years, we join a host of international productions in New York City for a two week run at the Cell Theatre, and get to represent you, our city, and our country in the Big Apple.
This is not only this play’s international premiere, but the first Bottom Dog Theatre production to be staged outside Ireland! We are incredibly excited at the prospect, and so launch our first crowd funding campaign to make it a reality.
This is your opportunity to be part of our team, part of the journey - to see your very own theatre company represent you on the American stage. Like Munster’s 16th man, we need you to be our Top Dog! If you can, we promise to do you proud.
Bottom Dog Theatre Company aims to produce entertaining, engaging and collaborative theatre for Limerick city and the mid-west.
Our aim is to present theatre created by the ensemble that has never been seen in the region. In doing so every production will be a premiere - affording regional audiences the chance to see new plays by emerging artists, and more established classics that they have never had the opportunity to see.
We maintain a desire to tour our work nationally and internationally, after we debuts regionally.
In essence, telling the stories of the world to Limerick and the stories of Limerick to the world.
