Dance is a fundamental form of human expression that likely evolved together with music as a way of generating rhythm.
ZABALAM is a fusion of powerful ancient dance techniques, designed to facilitate our capacity to heal physical and emotional trauma. In addition to these techniques, zabalam also includes guided meditations, conscious breathing, live music, sound therapy mantras mm. This fusion contributes to create an awareness in the participants that evokes responses in body, mind and spirit. Through an initiation process of exercises we trigger emotional traumas to the surface so they can be expressed and released in acceptance of the past and the present.
More and more people end up exhausted in today’s society. The wave of sickleave based on long-term stress often originate in the psychological strain it involves carrying on unprocessed trauma in addition to an active lifestyle with family and overtime work. This vicious circle affects our inner harmony negatively and creates fatigue and illness. The body, mind, emotions, and spirit are dynamically interrelated. Stress affects the kidneys and adrenals adversely. These organs work in close cooperation with the body’s other vital organs.
Zabalam is a dance journey toward unity with the divine. It is a mystical prayer, a dynamic meditation, a dreamjourney. We let our subconscious emotions come to the surface through embodiment.

She says “Since 2005 we have a big house in the forest in Sweden, very close to Norway. 1/2 of the house is not finished interior, and we want to make a dance & music studio in the largest room.
Also a small kitchen, a bathroom and two bedrooms for overnights guest at House of Zabalam, so we can arrange workshops for several days. Most of the groundwork is already laid. We must repair a leak in the roof and complete interior. Presently it is not possible to use the premises. ”
