Vegidair – Small Space Kitchen Herb Garden

Share This:

Grow fresh herbs all year long… in your kitchen cabinet! The Vegidair rack makes it easy to create your very own mini-farm.

Vegidair is the first built-in herb garden that fits into your kitchen cabinet. It’s been designed to fit easily into every standard kitchen cabinet with a width of 60cm (24 in.) or more. This brand new home appliance empowers the botanist in you! Choose from 16 different herbs and vegetables. Your kitchen herb garden will produce enough fresh greens for a whole family, so you can and prepare fresh and tasty recipes every day. Harvest your herbs and veggies just a few feet from your table – straight from the farm to the plate! Et voilà!

You can grow almost every leafy plant in the Vegidair – as well as some fruits and other edible plants, such as mini-tomatoes. The starter kit provides nine kind of herbs (basil, coriander, chive, mint, romain salad, parsley, arugula, mammoth basilic, mini-tomatoes) but Vegidair works just as well with many other types of plant seeds.

Attractive features of Vegidair

  • You get the best of the plant’s nutrients and flavor.
  • Your plants are free from pesticides.
  • Fresher than they could ever be when transported in a truck or by air.
  • You get 100% of the plant’s vitamins and minerals.
  • You generate no waste since, you harvest only what you need!

Research by the University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources has demonstrated that plants begin to lose nutrients within the first 24 hours after harvest. After 7 days, some vegetables have lost almost all their vitamin C! When it comes to nutrition, there’s simply no better alternative than food harvested from right next to the table, minutes before the meal.

Yannick Ircha, Founder of Vegidair. With an international background in household appliances and a research department that designed in vessel composting units and plastic recycling units, it was obvious for Yannick to make a product which fits into kitchens while letting nature in, yet as essential as a vegetable fridge.
The Team

A group of talented and dedicated people completely to making this wonderful product.

In order to raise funds to bring the Vegidair to market, the team has launched a Kickstarter campaign. As of writing, you’ll need to hand over €30 to hopefully receive an Organic seeds kit, while the Vegidair One Basic will set you back €150. If all goes to plan, shipping is estimated for December of this year.
