Ankal Inc is a 501c3 tax exempt non-profit organization. Ankal was founded by John Edma. Since June 2015, Ankal Inc has committed themselves to aiding the education system by providing over 1,500 kids with school supplies as well as honoring teachers every year. They believe there are more children in need and they have a responsibility to lend a helping hand. By joining together and providing basic necessities to Haitians who otherwise cannot afford them, we can bring about positive change, economic development, and provide valuable education.
Ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential is the first step. Ankal foundation will also be providing families with necessities such as water, clothing, food, and essentials after natural disasters. Recently, Hurricane Matthew has devastated Haiti and left many without power, shelter and hope. Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of those affected.
Campaign Motive is to create a mobile health clinic that will aid those who were injured due to Hurricane Matthew in the southern region of Haiti (Camp-Perrin). Their mission is to provide each individual affected in the Camp-Perrin area with high quality health care for three days. Mobile health clinic will serve everyone, especially women and children who are in desperate need of medical attention. The Mobile clinic is expected to assist at least 120 to 150 patients on the first day open, on average 300 patients on the second day, and more than 400 people on the third day open.
ANKAL Mobile Clinic offers general and preventative health care for three days for all ages in the Camp-Perrin and surrounding communities. This three day mobile clinic will utilize a trained professional staff using high quality medical equipment.
Doctors and Nurses
- One Gynecologist will provide Pap Smears and examine women.
- One Pediatrician for new born care, infant care, and immunizations.
- Allergy testing and shots.
- One general doctor for adult medicine, diabetic care, and dietician services.
ANKAL’s three day mobile clinic will adopt several strategies to ensure patient satisfaction. They will use the word of mouth, local radio enouncements, schools, and local churches to advertise the clinic. The clinic will be open during flexible hours to better serve their patients. The clinic will be open Thursdays at 7:30 am until 12:00 pm, then, they will close for a half an hour break to reopen at 1:30 pm and finally close for the day at 6:00pm. On the last day, they will be open from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm.
The mobile clinic will be located in the heart of Camp-Perrin Town. Patients will be able to find the clinic with easy to follow signs posted around the area. Medical visits and prescriptions will be free.
Ankal’s three day mobile clinic will be managed by ANKAL board of directors:
John Edma: President/Chief Executive Officer
Santiago Davalos: Chief Marketing officer
Christopher Johnson: Chief finance officer
Alain Menelas: Vice-President
In the creator’s own words: Ankal aims to be at the forefront of the development of a species under evolution by communicating resources to societies under scarcity. While primarily focused on Haiti, Ankal wishes to expand across the world, piecing together what dissonance abounds. In search of synchronicity, Ankal targets societies as variables at play — demanding the reproduction and sustainability of their own existence. Ankal aims to provide the human species a platform of communication. It wishes to be not the first and certainly not the last in the attempts to stand against time, together.
The Team has started a crowdfunding campaign with a goal of raising $20k. The fund raised will be used for the following expenses:
- Renting a furnished building for three days.
- To purchase office supplies, medical supplies, and employ doctors and nurses.
- To purchase legal licenses from the Haitian health care system, a three day permit from the mayor’s office, and will spend an estimated $4,900 dollars a day on daily necessities such as:

- Food and drink for the staff for three days
- Medical prescriptions
- Brochures, flyers, and T-shirts
