EVEN EX- JUVENILES HAVE A STORY TO TELL

Share This:

Raising the voices of vulnerable children and youth through digital photography and blogging.

42- Plus Foundation exists to develop local leaders, catalyze positive change and alleviate poverty in the informal settlement of Nairobi and beyond.

Each year 20,000 youths below 18 years of age are taken into children prisons, not because of their doing but because as parents and society we have failed them completely. As a parent, I have been busy chasing after money that I fail to even notice my teenage child. She is growing and all manner of hormones are running wild in his body. She needs to talk to me on the peer pressure she is facing with his friends, how school has become such a challenge and She needs to know that she can make it, how his friends want him to take drugs and doesn’t know how to say no, how I fight so much with my spouse and she is torn on who side with. Since I do not have time for my child, she will end up mixing all manner of advice from other people and I will be in utter shock when she is sentenced to a rehabilitation institution.

The Impact
