DC Rapsheet

Share This:

Creating simple visual representations of political data so citizens can vote for candidates that will effect the change they want.

We are the people behind DC Rapsheet. A lawyer, a accountant, and a recruiter, all middle class, and all just as frustrated as you are with the current state of politics in our country.

Our leaders so often promise to make a difference, but more often we see the critical issues take a back seat when election season ends. Personal wealth and power take precedence; political posturing creates ill-fitted governance, and the actions of iron triangle bureaucrats in D.C. work to erode our union.

That being said, we want to be clear about what we plan to accomplish with DC Rapsheet. Our purpose here is not to harp on politicians’ mistakes, but to create true transparency through hard data. You should know who you are voting for and what they stand for. Know their voting history and what they are promising. Know them based on their conduct and not what their bankroll tries to convince you of. You should be able to find this information all in one place.

We want to provide Americans with a free resource to help them vote based on their personal values and not the party line. We also aim to provide you with impartial, easy-to-understand information and analysis of each candidate. In short, we want to take the guesswork out of voting.

Vote for a Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, or Fascist, we don’t care, as long as you make an informed decision. We are you. We are the 18-year-old voter on their first election day, we are a busy mother of four who doesn’t have time to follow the news, we are a newly minted American experiencing democracy for the first time. We are citizens struggling and wealthy, we are every man, woman and child, we are the American people and we deserve better.

Help us hold our public servants to a higher standard.
