BLOOM, Aromatherapy Inspired Soy Candles and Room Fragrances

BLOOM combines the best of two worlds. We find the perfect balance between soothing scent of modern fragrance and holistic benefits of essential oil, made with great craftsmanship and responsibly packaged with modest minimalist style. BLOOM’s creations derive from the belief of achieving wellness through essence of nature and the use of superior ingredients. To preserve the therapeutic effects of essential oil, we start with a high concentration of essential oil of our base and construct complimenting scent profiles by combining notes from perfume grade fragrance oil. Our scent profiles has a hint of the world around us, from the deep forest to fresh fields of lavender. Each candle also carries the therapeutic effects of the essential oil infused in it. After months of research and countless trial and error, we created 6 fresh and botanical scents that not only smells amazing but also has a sense of well-being.

BLOOM was inspired by aromatherapy, an ancient practice that uses organic plants extract to restore lost balance to the body and the mind. We experienced aromatherapy first hand in Thai spas where herbal ingredients like lemon grass, eucalyptus and citronella were used as part of the treatment. Feeling renewed and relaxed after our trip, we fell in love with essential oil. This discovery quickly became our passion and we wanted to revive this practice passed down from generations to the comfort of your home. With this mission in mind, we created BLOOM. We began by sourcing the best essential oils from around the world, peppermint from japan, lavender from France, ylang ylang from Madagascar. Based on the aromatic properties of each essential oil, we constructed complimenting scent profiles by combining notes from perfume grade fragrance oil. Each scent profiles has a hint of the world around us, from the deep forest to fresh fields of lavender. After many trials and error, we created 6 perfect blends of botanical scents made from nature’s finest ingredients.

What makes us special?

At BLOOM, we use 6 types of essential oils as the main ingredients to create our scents. Most candles on the market today contain little to none essential oil. The scent is achieved through synthetic chemical fragrance which replicates the smell of real plants. Even though fragrance oil smells like and sometimes even better than its natural counter parts, their structures are completely different from each other. Essential oil is the pure extract of the plant it derived from while fragrance essence is formulated from ingredients that smells like the plant. Here is a good analogy: essential oil is like grape juice made from grapes and fragrance essence is like grape soda made from artificial flavoring and food colouring. Grape soda may taste like grapes and even sweeter but it doesn’t contain nutrients found in grapes.
